Welcome!

My name is Dr. Heather Wadeson, and I am a clinical psychologist in Springfield, MO. My specialization is in Clinical Health Psychology, which focuses on the intersection between physical and emotional illness.

​

Throughout the last decade I have worked in a variety of settings. Each of these opportunities have contributed to my personal and professional growth.

 

It is in my nature to always learn and evolve, so I will continue to broaden my training and find new ways to serve and empower my patients.

 

My overarching goal is to provide more holistic and individualized approach to mental health treatment. I enjoy helping individuals by providing them with the help and guidance they need to be successful, healthy, and balanced.

In addition to being a licensed psychologist, I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT200). Yoga has been a life-changing practice that has led to an overall sense of physical and emotional well-being for myself. I feel honored to be able to pass this positive energy on to others. 
 

I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Drury University from 2019 -2022. I taught several classes including Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Holistic Health Practices, and Health Psychology and Community Interventions. Being a teacher in the classroom has helped me to translate the material to the therapy room. I am a huge nerd and love handouts and resources.
