Dr. Heather Wadeson
My specialization is in Clinical Health Psychology, which focuses on the intersection between physical and emotional illness. I enjoy working with women and providing them with the help and guidance they need to be successful, healthy, and balanced. My services promote holistic health and well-being, making positive lifestyle changes, and meeting the needs that overlap between physical and emotional health.
I received my Master's degree in Psychology from North Dakota State University, and I received my doctorate (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Saint Louis University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and fellowship program at the Memphis VA Hospital. I have worked in various settings over the last decade, which has helped to provide a well-rounded basis for my current practice.
In addition to being a licensed psychologist, I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT200). Yoga has been a life-changing practice that has led to an overall sense of physical and emotional well-being for myself. I feel honored to be able to pass this positive energy on to others.
I am also a Visiting Assistant Professor at Drury University. I teach several classes including Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Holistic Health Practices, and Health Psychology and Community Interventions. I am truly humbled and grateful to be a mentor to this new generation. Although teaching has changed since COVID, I am amazed by the resilience and persistence of our faculty and students.
